Missouri Falconry Association
2005 Fall Field Meet
The annual
field meet will be held in the St. Louis area on the
22nd of October 2005. We will kick off the meet Saturday morning at 7:00am at the Steak
and shake at the intersection of Highway’s K and N in O’Fallon, Missouri
Directions Interstate I 70 to Highway K. South on highway K to highway N. The restaurant is on the Northeast corner
of the intersection.
There will time for breakfast,
and introductions before heading to the fields. We will line out a meeting place for lunch and a short business meeting during
the warmest part of the day. Latecomers please give me a call at 816-507-9275 and I’ll give you directions to the area
currently being hunted.
Rob Lyttle is hosting the meet and has found ample fields with game. If you never hunted rabbits in the
St. Louis area, it is worth the drive from your location. You should not be disappointed! As a friend Toby Bradshaw once said”
It is really not fair to use the word hunt and rabbits in the same sentence when describing or discussing the St. Louis area.”
On another note if you are interested in trapping a new tail, the area has a large population. One of my
best hawks ever came from the St. Louis area. I know that several people have filled their slots with good birds during past
meets in St. Louis. This might be a great place to learn some new trapping lure and or share information with other falconers.
I
hope to see you there.
